Medvedev will carry out a meeting in Rostov-on-Don on innovation in the economy

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will carry out in bakery holding "Yug Rusi" in Rostov-on-Don on Friday on the innovative development of economy.

It is planned to discuss development of agriculture and fuel-energy complex in the structure of the Russian economy. Special attention will be given to the interaction of business, science and development institutions.

Medvedev will also attend a high-tech oil extraction plant Group "Yug Rusi". The premier will inspect the production plant and get acquainted with the technology of food production, fuel pellets and the plans for the production of biofuels.

Objectives, priorities and instruments of the government innovation policy has defined by a strategy of innovative development of Russia up to 2020.
Within the framework of innovative development of Russian economy funding for basic science was increased, specialized development institutions, venture capital funds, the federal government autonomous institution "Russian Foundation for Technological Development", the state corporation Vnesheconombank and "Rusnano were created".

Support on a competitive basis and the creation of 25 clusters also is planed. In 2010-2012, the development of the profile of university infrastructure has provided the state 40 billion rubles.

In addition, infrastructure of innovation support is increased, including technology development of SEZ, science cities, industrial parks, business incubators, technology transfer centers and the federal government shared scientific equipment.
